Handmade in the UK, the contemporary cat portrait is digitally designed from your photo, then each of the 9 miniature portraits is meticulously cut and collaged by hand using cut paper to create a textured surface. The techniques used turn Andy Warhols’s Pop Art ethos on its head as this portrait is painstakingly hand-crafted rather than mass reproduced. The 9 individual portraits within the artwork are set against contrasting bold coloured square backgrounds and form a 3×3 square grid. The portrait is signed on the back.

My Large Unmounted custom pop art cat papercut portrait measures approximately 21 x 21cm (8.25 x 8.25 inches) unmounted. A mounted option is also available on a white card matte (border). The ‘Large Mounted’ option including a simple white card matte measures approximately 30 x 30cm (11.8 x 11.8 inches).

How to Order a Pop Art Cat Portrait

First, order your portrait. Then provide a good quality digital photo of your cat via email to: imagineattic@outlook.com. The best photos to work with are close ups with lots of facial detail and light. Don’t worry about the background in the photo or cropping as I will edit the design to produce a flat colour background. If you are unsure of the suitability of a photo, please feel free to contact me before ordering.

Current turnaround times for custom-made orders is 3-4 weeks (in addition to delivery time from Liverpool, UK). If your order is urgent, please let me know and if I have availability, I will prioritise your item.

Gift wrapping with a personal handwritten note are available at checkout. If you are ordering a last minute gift or don’t know which photo to choose, a Cat Portrait Gift Card is available which is emailed directly to the recipient to be redeemed at a later date.

Postage and Packaging

Free UK postage via Royal Mail Signed For Delivery. USA shipping is also available. Custom cat portraits are dispatched in a protective wrap and a strong cardboard-backed envelope.
